Abstract
With the growing use of Electric Vehicles (EV´s) the quality and durability of the battery is the most restrictive factor. To facilitate a greater durability there are some restrictions to the batteries and methods of use which should be upheld. According to these restrictions this paper evaluates the load of the battery according to a full electric and mechanic drive train using the symmetric sine modulation in the inverter. This Paper describes in general how to build a battery management system (bms). Accordingly it shows definitions regarding a bms. Furthermore it shows specific problems to take into account. After displaying the restrictions and batteries´ needs, the drive train is developed in both the electrical and the mechanical part based on authentic dimensions.
