Abstract
Data obtained from panoramic images are used to improve the quality of target detection in a simultaneous mapping and dynamic target tracking system using a laser range finder. The synchronization of the two sensors, that have different frequencies, is a crucial issue addressed in this paper with a probabilistic approach.
