Abstract
Although there are very much information and services for tourists available on the Internet, their disparity and heterogeneity not only makes manual but also automated travel planning difficult. Such difficulties may result in grievance to visitors especially due to price, schedule, and local situation uncertainty. To address this problem, we propose a Tourist Service Integration and personalized planning system (TSIPPS) based on a semantic Web service approach. We explain our architectural design and illustrate how the system provides personalized service recommendation and tour planning with a case based approach built on top of ontologies.
