Abstract
This paper presents a direct, adaptive and parameter-free current control scheme for synchronous machines with excellent control quality and high dynamics. For magnetic anisotropic synchronous machines (Ld = Lq), it automatically allows easy identification of the rotor position angle in the whole speed range, making it particularly suitable for sensorless control.
