  • Abstract
    Due to the importance of fault knowledge in operation and maintenance of power plant equipments, this paper proposes a general model of fault knowledge base on the basis of database framework, which can present and manage the knowledge reasonably. Supported by the concepts of two-dimensional table and attribute, a thorough analysis is made on the fault attributes from the aspects of fault object, sensitive characteristic parameter, distributed fault expression and risk assessment. The multidimensional attribute knowledge of faults obtained after analysis is organized and accumulated to build the fault knowledge base with the help of two-dimensional tables. This contributes to ensure the safety and reliability of power plant equipments.
