Abstract
Capillary discharge experiments were carried out to get a lasing of Ne-like Ar line (J=0-1, /spl lambda/=46.9 nm) with two devices. At optimum condition with one device, gain-length product gl of 8.4 (g=0.7 cm/sup -1/), laser energy of 300 nJ and FWHM of 2.5 ns were obtained. With the other device, laser energy of 135 nJ and FWHM of 0.6 ns were obtained. Comparison with two devices, the pulse widths of laser may depend on theirs dl/dt.
