Abstract
With the enforcement of the Basic Act on Ocean Policy, on July 20, 2007 of the original Marine Day, Japan should give the highest priority to the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) in the East China Sea in the management of the Japanese EEZ. This paper describes the state of ocean observing system in the East China Sea present and future.
