Abstract
Radar tracking and detection are always interfaced by unwanted clutter, so the research on clutter has significant meaning to the improvement of detection and tracking performance. Modeling and simulation is an important approach to study the clutter, and helpful to the development of detection theory and design of optimal detector. This paper introduces the research trend on radar clutter modeling and simulation, mainly discusses the nonlinear modeling and simulating method based on chaos theory and fractal theory, introduces the phase reconstruction of radar clutter, the application of radial basis function neural network and the support vector machine.
