Abstract
To be connected to the global system, and fulfill the obligations to the maritime society, a four-year (2005-2008) project was initiated to establish a National Hydrographic Service which supports e-navigation in Taiwan waters. This paper reports on the design and implementation of the infrastructure to provide and support such service, and how the information and communication technology, especially the web technology, has been applied to facilitate the collaborative workflow for the establishment and maintenance of the Electronic Navigational Chart database and related nautical information services.
