Abstract
The electroencephalogram (EEG) is a kind of biological signals that represents the activity of the brain. Due to the nonstationarity of EEG, the paper analyzed the application of wavelet transform in EEG processing, then combining the mallat algorithm, constructed a one-dimension discrete wavelet transform(1D-DWT) system based on the field programmable gata array(FPGA), with this system, we filtered the noise in the EEG and extracted the basic rhythm of EEG. Experimental results show that the system can filter the noise and extract the EEG signal well.
