Abstract
An electric suspension that can be used as a bearing to reduce friction in micromotors was studied. Experimental evidence indicates that suspension stabilization can be achieved without the need for position sensors. The experimental investigation revealed some problems that need to be addressed before the electric suspension can be successfully adapted for use in micromotors. However, the potential benefits of the electric suspension appear to be quite significant, and worth pursuing.<>
