Abstract
The lack of the transformer community to accept the fact that transformers are chemical reactors that follow the laws of both physics and chemistry has lead to the creation of many misunderstandings with regards to transformer condition assessment and also is the reason why understanding the corrosive sulfur problem has taken such a long time. This paper is reports the results of an condition assessment made on a population of 30 GSU owned by a major power producer.
