Abstract
This paper defines content of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (referred to as AMI), make comparative analysis of the similarities and differences between domestic and foreign AMI. This paper describes the status of China AMI related technology system and China power using information collection system architecture; proposes typical structure of China AMI; analyzes AMI related communication technologies and their applications which includes power composite optical fiber communication, power line broadband communication technology and wireless communication technology. This paper also analyzes the metering sensor networks, interoperability, digital metering, distributed generation bi-directional metering, local and remote smart control technology, demand response and other key technologies; proposes the technical requirements of smart energy meter and smart interactive terminals, data management system.
