Abstract
Security standard is the basic technical document in network planning, so it is worth making deep research and comparison on security standards in different countries. This paper firstly discusses the basic concept and evaluation indices about security of power supply. Then, following the introduction of security standard in China, function, content and principles of security standards in UK are interpreted in detail, and a practical example is given as well. According to the comparing study, this paper points out the imperfection of present security standard in China and puts forward some suggestions for improvement. Finally, based on the principles of ER P2/6 and actual situation of Nanjing network, power supply points are divided into 6 classes and reasonable security level of each class is set out. A trial security standard with quantitative indices will be issued in Nanjing network as a pilot for the other networks in China.
