  • Abstract
This paper presents system-level modelling of potential multiband orthogonal frequency division multiplexed ultra wideband (UWB) system. System performance is measured using bit error rate (BER) and signal-to-noise ratio. The conducted system analysis demonstrated that the BER is equal to or less than 0.1%, for 75% of stable (i.e. transmitter is on waist) and 61% of unstable transmitter locations (i.e. transmitter is on wrist) respectively. This demonstrates promising applications of the proposed UWB body-centric radio system.
