Abstract
The implementation of a plan to upgrade and expand the control and information systems of a brewhouse is discussed. The author describes how the integration of a cell controller, PLCs (programmable controllers), and a variety of intelligent devices made it possible to focus on improved process accuracy and repeatability, resulting in a higher-quality lower-cost product. Descriptions are given of the process application, the control system, and the information system
