  • Abstract
Intermediate View Synthesis (IVS) is a key technology in multi-view display, and it is widely used in many fields, such as three dimensional (3D) television, 3D tele-videoconference, 3D video application, robot vision, virtual machine, medical surgery and so on. Disparity estimation is one of main methods of IVS. Some new intermediate view reconstruction techniques based on the adaptive disparity estimation algorithms are proposed. The development and current status of adaptive estimation are analyzed. The problems with IVS based on adaptive window matching are discussed.
