  • Abstract
    Hydro/photovoltaic (PV) hybrid generating is a novel power generation mode using renewable energy. This paper addresses the studies on the grid operation mode, inverter´s parallel control algorithm and storage system design. To ensure stable operation of hybrid grid and play the advantages of hybrid generating system, parallel and interactive operation modes were designed in this paper. With different operation modes, the inverters in PV plant need to change their control algorithm. Two algorithm, power dispatch control and self synchronous control, were applied in inverter controllers to adopt the change of operation mode. Energy storage system is a key part of the power generation system, and then the type selection and capacity design of the storage system were analyzed in this paper.
