Abstract
This paper considers the problem of designing linear sliding surfaces for mismatched uncertain systems with time delay. The linear switching surface such that the reduced-order equivalent sliding mode dynamics restricted to the sliding surface is not only stable but invariant to mismatched uncertainties with time delay. An invariant condition for the existence of a linear switching surface is given in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). A numerical example is included to demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results obtained
