  • Abstract
This paper presents a multi scaling coefficient techniques for pipelined ADC with noisy signal based gain error background calibration to provide a rapid convergence speed and stable calibration coefficient. By dividing the convergence process into several phases and assisted with a monotonicity detector to decide when to shift from one phase to the next phase, each phase be applied with a different scaling coefficient, the dilemma between convergence speed and calibration coefficient stability can be eliminated. The time cost on convergence process can be reduced significantly and more stable calibration coefficient been realized in ADC´s normal operation.
