Abstract
The modal analysis of three-dimensional resonator loaded with chiral material by using the finite element method has been proposed in this paper. The proposed FEM formulation has been verified with an analytical solution of spherical resonator filled with chiral material. The results of resonant frequency agree well with the results of analytical solutions. Another example of rectangular cavity loaded with chiral materials has been also demonstrated and discussed. The time-average stored electric energy and stored magnetic energy have been calculated. It can be noticed that the time-average stored energy increases in accordance with chirality parameter. This means that the quality factor of a resonator can be increased by loading with chiral material.
