Abstract
In this paper, the overall structuring of the antenna modeling research efforts in the EU and associated countries is discussed. It turns out that at the moment, there are two initiatives that are important. The antenna COST action 284, and the ACE Network of Excellence. These two initiatives are discussed in full detail. The paper also briefly touches the main technical topics that are currently under investigation. The goal is to inform researchers from Former Soviet Union states on what is going on in the EU, and in this way maybe to establish bridges between the two research communities.
