Abstract
NTT´s scenario for optical access networks will be presented in the session. NTT announced a nationwide program for the deployment of fully optical access networks toward fiber-to-the-home (FTTH). The incentive to deploying optical access networks is broadband service demand. However, there is some difficulty in anticipating when, where, and how dense the demand of broadband services will be and it takes time to deploy optical access systems, from planning to service commencement
