  • Abstract
In this paper, we consider diffraction of a given time-harmonic electromagnetic wave by a perfectly electrically conducting (PEC) zero-thickness disk with the aid of the dual integral equations. We build a semi-inversion method, which can be used for accurate numerical modeling of this problem. The problem of diffraction by a PEC disk is reduced to a set of linear algebraic equations generating a Fredholm second-kind infinite matrix operator equation. Due to its equivalence to the original boundary-value problem, whose solution is unique for real values of k, this guarantees existence of solution, which can be found numerically with high accuracy.
