  • Abstract
    In summary a four-section InGaAsP-InGaAsP MQW electro optical modulator photonic-integrated circuit has been achieved for short optical pulse generation and coding, using a very simple approach. 16-GHz bandwidths of the modulators are reported with a record optical power budget, which make this realization of great interest for practical 20-Gbit/s transmission applications
