Abstract
It is well known that there is instability when an electron beam moves across homogeneous plasma. When the plasma density has a random component, we can expect that the fluctuation component will break the processes of coherent oscillation excitation in the plasma and on the other hand will cause stochastic instability. In this paper, it is shown by calculation, that spatial fluctuations of plasma beam density have an essential influence on the development of the beam-plasma instability. They cause the destruction of initially regular oscillations. This means that it is necessary to take into account this fluctuation when designing real high frequency electromagnetic wave plasma-beam generators.
