  • Abstract
    Merged power and CMOS IC processes have been used to develop a six output, low-side driver. Total current capability of the device is 26 A at 150°C. The chip has standard power IC features including thermal and short-circuit protection, and status reporting. An ASIC methodology reduced the design cycle time significantly, using techniques such as programmable logic array to define the status output, which allows major changes to fault reporting with just metal level modifications
