  • Abstract
A general-purpose measuring resonator is an important component of millimeter- and submillimeter-wave band radioelectronic equipment different types. It should meet the following requirements: high Q-factor of operational mode and rather strong suppression of parasitic modes; wide-band frequency tuning; good matching of resonator with standard waveguides; frequency stability for the whole working band. The matching of the resonator with standard waveguide is carried out by choosing the position of the exciting plug on the resonator axis. A set of the broadband measuring high Q-factor resonators in frequency range from 17 to 258 GHz has been produced. We designed multimode cylindrical, open quasi-optical and corrugated resonators Some experimental characteristics of the set of measuring resonators are given.
