Abstract
The push server communication model is ideal for event notification and real time data transfer. It allows the server to send data to a client without an explicit request. This paper presents an architecture based on push server model to send real time event notifications on smart cities. The smart cities concept arises from the need to manage problems caused by population growth and urbanization, having real time communication as an essential issue.
