Abstract
Proposes a human-machine collaborative system where the electronic interface agent and the proficient human experts have an equal partnership in their collaboration. By having the agents recognize facial expressions, the human expert is stimulated to more proactively engage in his task performance, which in turn affects what the agent learns from those observations. We discuss the dynamics of those interactions and present the effects of mutual learning between the human and the electronic agent
