  • Abstract
The performance of a space-time block coded (STBC) multicarrier code division multiple-access (MC- CDMA) system operating in Nakagami-m fading channel with correlated subcarriers is investigated. Independency among MC-CDMA subcarriers is often assumed in literature which leads to idealistic performance bounds. The contribution of this paper is the derivation of closed-form expressions of the symbol error probabilities. We use the moment generating function (MGF) of the correlated Nakagami-m random variable (RV) to calculate the closed-form average symbol error rates (SERs) of binary and M-QAM signals with maximum ratio combining detection technique. Both, numerical and simulation results are presented, showing an excellent agreement.
