  • Abstract
Prony analysis is a methodology that extends the Fourier analysis by directly estimating the frequency, damping, and relative phase of modal components present in a given state trajectory signal. This paper studies the damping profile of the micro-grid with storage system by using Prony analysis in smart-grid, which is different from the conventional transmission networks. This paper reveals the change in characteristics of damping with amplitude, frequency and energy in the transient analysis of micro-grid. The simulation analysis is helpful to propose the novel damping ratio index of smart-grid under different operation conditions.
