Abstract
A general multivariable strategy for control of systems with more outputs than inputs is presented. The method employs simple decision logic with predictive functional control (PFC). PFC principles are briefly reviewed, and the logic-based strategy is presented. A geometric analysis of its operation is given. Simulation results are included for a single-input, dual-output example and for a two-input, three-output plant
