Abstract
In this paper, the impact of extension of supporting PEC and dielectric slab of the above mentioned antenna [5] will be investigated. The planar antenna under study is a Curl antenna to generate circularly polarized waves. The AMC ground plane consists of 4x4 square patches with no vertical vias. The operating center frequency is 4.5GHz. All simulations are carried out using HFSS v. 12 [6], which is based on the Finite Element method.
