Abstract
A novel antenna called self-structuring antenna (SSA) is proposed. The SSA has an advantage of altering its electrical shape in response to changing the states of switches, which makes it a multi-band antenna. The SSA comprised of rectangular ring antennas is designed by numerical electromagnetic code (NEC), and many numerical investigations are presented and shown that the proposed antenna can achieve multi-band operation.
