  • Abstract
Multi-stage synchronous induction coil launcher (MSSICL) uses multi-stage drive coils to accelerate projectile. It can launch projectile of great mass. Because every drive coil has an optimal trigger time, the accurate control of trigger time can ensure the projectile has large muzzle velocity. With the increase of the projectile´s velocity, the acceleration time of projectile between the different stages in the drive coil decreases, making trigger control more difficult. In this paper, a method of software trigger control of multi-stage synchronous induction coil launcher is proposed. Simulation result shows that that this method can allow for greater control accuracy and response speed, and can effectively improve the launch efficiency.
