Abstract
The rapid growth of wireless data capabilities in the home and office environment has naturally led to the extension of these capabilities to more mobile environments. Here, the potential exists to utilize this broadband connectivity to enhance the effectiveness of currently deployed vehicle and infrastructure based safety and convenience capabilities. This talk will explore some of the unique requirements imposed by the combination of mobility and safety requirements in this broadband environment which will differentiate the solutions in this space from those found in the commercial home and office wireless deployments.
