  • Abstract
In this paper, we employ fiber delay line (FDL) as optical buffers to reduce the burst-loss probability. We studied an analytical model using a single forward FDL buffering for contention resolution, then built a new model for OBS architecture using both a forward FDL and a feedback FDL. Based on the two models, we designed algorithm for each models, and simulated them with C++ programming language.
