  • Abstract
Telescopes are a scarce resource, the demand for telescope time, from the various astronomic institutions around the world, is far greater than the actual amount of observation time available. The program Nightwatch is a tactical planning tool, developed for the Royal Greenwich Observatory designed to assist astronomers in scheduling a set of observations-of stars, galaxies, etc.-to be viewed over a number of sequential nights by a duty astronomer, or the period of stay of a visiting astronomer to a remote site
