Abstract
ITU-T K27 and ETS 300253 are the most important international standards on earthing and bonding (E&B) inside all types of telecommunication buildings. They standardize the conceptual approach to E&B of telecommunication equipment, laying down methods and structures. E&B configurations designed according to the standards and installed in the proper manner make all the difference as regards the reliability and compatibility of telecommunication equipment configurations. This has previously been pointed out in a contribution to the 1993 INTELEC conference in Paris. PTT Telecom Netherlands has made this big step of implementing the conceptual choice described in that contribution. This contribution gives an overview of the aspects which needed special attention during the implementation in the infrastructure of PTT Telecom Netherlands
