Abstract
Various techniques exist for reducing the cogging torque in radial-flux permanent-magnet. Part rotor displace method is one of such methods. The applying of the part rotor displace method can reduce cogging torque in electrical engine, but also it reduces air gap field. Displace angle variations are examined the by finite-element analysis. The results of this analysis are discussed in this paper.
