  • Abstract
To achieve a high technological level of electric products for high voltage classes is only possible providing application of stabilizing treatment of the mechanically loaded insulation. The stabilizing treatment is a thermomechanical effect on the insulation which initiates a materials creep high-rate phase in the production process in order to rule out its occurrence in long-duration operation of the products. It is a multi-choice technological process, being often “know-how”, as with it a compromise is reached between the rate of materials rheological characteristics improvement. Increase in production cost and available production conditions. Systematic studies, performed in VIT in this field, allow to make new strides towards power transformer design improvement
