Abstract
The paper presents an algorithm designed to make calculation and creation of road surface models possible. The algorithm is based on getting and processing of point clouds as a pre-condition of the subsequent graphical operations. Graphical algorithms may further be applied to such models of road surfaces and enable usage of photographs resulting in creation of road models with own textures. The algorithm for measurement and visualization has been proposed to be used with different laser scanners. Outputs of this algorithm are a point cloud and surface models which are saved into the .obj type file. Once the road surface model has been saved into the output file, we can visualize a measured road surface. Obj type files may be opened and used by many visualization programs.
