Abstract
Trust in Peer to Peer network has the fuzzy feature, and thus it cannot be described and handled using distinct mathematic model. To solve the problem, based on the advantage of using intuitionistic fuzzy theory to handle vague information, we propose a novel P2P trust model named IFTM (Intuitionistic Fuzzy theory based Trust Model), which uses membership, nonmembership and hesitancy degree to describe the positive, negative and uncertain feature of trust evaluation, and uses recommendation fuzzy similarity to weight the recommendations provided by different peers, so as to solve the recommendation transmission and combination problems. By these means IFTM gives a more relevant description on the fuzzy feature of subjective trust. Simulation results show that IFTM increases the successful download ratio and system security compared with traditional model.
