Effective HRM practices can lead to superior independent innovation. Nevertheless, the mechanism between these two has not been carefully identified. Using the survey data, the paper examines the relationship among HRM practices, dynamic capabilities and independent innovation. The results from structural equation analysis indicate that the effective HRM practices can increase the flexible organization, organizational learning, resources integration and environmental perception. Dynamic capabilities can enhance the competitive advantage. But uncertain environment does act as moderator between dynamic capabilities and competitive advantage.
