Abstract
As most today´s multimedia systems use multi-core processing platform, PFair and a range of algorithms developed from it can achieve good scheduling results for the frequent interactive task scheduling running on these systems. But, these algorithms don´t care much about the processor assignment for different stages of the periodic tasks. It will lead to task migrations between multiple threads and add extra space and time overhead. In this paper, focus on the features of interactive periodic tasks system, we improved the basis PFair algorithm by adding the time frame control and changing the local periodic tasks scheduling to limit task migrations. It could improve efficiency of the system and ensured fairness at the same time.
