Chinese Small and Medium-size Enterprises (SMEs) are developing in a rapid speed. They have grown into a main power of the growth of GDP. New SMEs which are on their ways to prosper are well supported by the policy. E-commerce provides Chinese SMEs great opportunities that are worthwhile to be seized. The first opportunity is the great boom of network users. The attitude towards online shopping has been transformed overall, consequently enlarges the consumer base. Secondly, the development of online shopping platforms facilitates B2C business for SMEs as well. Finally, the diverse needs that are not satisfied by the traditional channel can be also utilized. Certain threats put barriers to the road of B2C for SMEs that they are going to be confronted. Network security and legal system deficiency are the main concern those SMEs are dealing with. Three trends are gradually revealing: More SMEs are joining the industry and competition is increasingly intensified; some enterprises are seeking for identity and begin to set up own corporate portal instead of utilizing platforms; Niche products take advantage of network and show great potential.
