Abstract
A radar receiver subsystem is developed in a 3 channel-monopulse, low noise front-end configurations. The receiver consists of three identical channels for sum, azimuth difference and elevation difference outputs of the monopulse comparator and each of the channels has a low noise amplifier in the front end. The functional requirements of the receiver, and the subsystem design details with emphasis on EMC issues are described. The electromagnetic emissions and susceptibility characteristics of a typical radar receiver are measured and the results are critically analysed.
