  • Abstract
    The various reported values of the material constants of interest for surface acoustic wave (SAW) device applications are summarized in tabular form. For the user community, those sets of constants are identified from which SAW design calculations can reliably be made, as well as those sets of constants requiring further refinement. The relevant material constants include: mass density, elastic stiffness, piezoelectric stress, dielectric permittivity and the thermal expansion coefficients. Only data published after 1978 are included
