Abstract
The equations of state for piezoelectric bimorphs made of a piezoelectric and a nonpiezoelectric material are determined. As these bimorphs are nonsymmetric they suffer from considerable temperature sensitivity due to the difference in thermal expansion coefficients of the constituting materials. The deflection, rotation, volume displacement, charge on the electrodes, and entropy change are calculated for the heterogeneous bimorph
